Years One and Two at Studley Infants' School
At Studley Infants' School, we have three mixed Year 1/2 classes where we aim to ensure that children continue to enjoy learning while building on the skills and knowledge they developed in Reception.
All three classrooms provide continuous provision, carefully designed to meet the developmental and learning needs of children in Key Stage 1. Our learning environments offer a wide range of opportunities for children to practise, apply and extend their learning through active, hands-on experiences. This approach helps to embed key skills and knowledge while fostering independence, curiosity, enthusiasm and a love of learning.
Through continuous provision, children can explore their interests and develop their creativity, whether they choose to be writers, scientists, builders, artists, actors or problem-solvers. We believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged and have opportunities to take ownership of their learning.
While we are committed to ensuring that all children develop the knowledge and skills they need to be successful as they progress through their educational journey, we are equally passionate about delivering the curriculum in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Our aim is for every child to feel confident, capable and excited about learning each day.
